I see a few people have started to play Ninja Gaiden Trilogy.
Just by monitoring the order in which the achievements are popping up shows there must be problems. I had a really hard time trying to get these ones down. Every time I felt I was getting somewhere it appeared to go wrong.

Let me know any problems that arise. I am expecting problems with the end of game achievements.

I'd go with 0x00006e like you have done - it seems on SNES, developers appear to group memory variables near one another - you'll find near 0x00006e a few other variables: health is at 0x000065, lives left is at 0x000076, so I think it's a pretty safe bet that 0x00006e is a safe bet for the 'stage number'

Just a note: sometimes I find it makes things easier to find some easier variables you know first, like health or lives, and then use that as a reference point to see if other variables are nearby - kind of like doing the edge pieces around a jigsaw before doing the rest of the jigsaw. That way you can ground yourself before finding some of the more trickier pieces of RAM. It's probable (but NOT definite) that variables you find in areas like 0x00182a (Stage) may be accurate some of the time but not others, so it's likely this might be graphics or sound memory - mostly correct, but occasionally wrong, meaning that it might work perfectly for us, but for someone else it might be ever so slightly different.

Looks great so far BTW, I can't fault what you're doing :)

I am still struggling with this and doubt I am going to get it correct.
"0x00006e" seems to be ok until later in the game when the number repeats back to an earlier number, therefore unlocking it early.

you're a foster popped when i took the sword upgrade needs a fix
inside a dimensional warship popped when killing 3 enemies in a row.
this isn't an ordinary lab didnt pop when i beat level 1 needs a fix.

This still seems to be broken. Can someone look into this? I'd be a willing beta tester, I have solid experience with all 3 games.
